With training in both medicine and psychiatry, they understand the relationship between physical and mental health and can offer a range of approaches, including therapy, medication and coordinated care with other health professionals.

Yes. A current referral from a GP, obstetrician or specialist is required to claim a Medicare rebate for your consultations. Please bring your referral and Medicare details to your first appointment. Your referring doctor can send the referral to the practice on your behalf.

Dr Kanodia typically sees adults aged 18–65 years, with a special interest in women’s mental health across every life stage.

Dr Kanodia focuses on women’s mental health across life stages — including premenstrual difficulties (PMS/PMDD), pregnancy and the postpartum period, perimenopause and menopause, anxiety and depression, trauma, ADHD, and major life transitions. She also provides assessment and management of broader conditions including mood and bipolar disorders, OCD and adjustment difficulties.

Yes — telehealth consultations are available on request for suitable appointments, offering the same quality of care without the need to travel. Please let reception know if you would prefer a telehealth appointment.

Yes. Dr Kanodia provides inpatient admissions to Belmont Private Hospital and supports attendance at Day Therapy programs where clinically appropriate, alongside her outpatient consulting.

Dr Kanodia is a private psychiatrist, so all consultations are billed privately; bulk billing is not offered. With a current referral and Medicare card, a rebate can be claimed for the specialist portion. Please contact reception for current fees, which are confirmed at the time of booking.

Appointments are strictly required for all scripts, letters, certificates and medication adjustments. Dr Kanodia is unable to complete these outside of a consultation. Please mention any script repeats you need during your appointment.
